In the first game of the season Stonnington suffered a big defeat at the hand of Docaster.

The contest was over by the 15th minute when Doncaster were arwarded their 2nd penalty on the night (First penalty was saved) and we had to play with one man less for the rest of the game. Although been a man down the boys had the better of the 1st half and missed a couple of chances and also had a penalty miss right at half time.

Second half Doncaster started to dominate and eventually got their third goal on the 65th minute but Stonnington hit back with Juan Sastre scoring his first goal for Stonnington a few minutes later. In the last 10 minutes one less man took its toll on Stonnington and conceeded 2 goals but also had a penalty miss (3rd saved penalty of the night) in between.
